Undergraduate GSSP: 3 Semesters with Academic English

If your English test scores meet the requirements for Undergraduate GSSP: 3 Semesters with Academic English you may begin your Undergraduate Global Student Success Program with the addition of Academic English in the first semester of study.

Graduate Global Student Success Program (GSSP)

The Graduate GSSP is a two-semester program designed for students who have completed a bachelor's degree but who need or wish to have additional support before starting a FAU graduate degree program. The Graduate GSSP helps to enhance academic and English skills by offering a range of courses such as research methods and academic communication to better prepare students for graduate-level coursework and success in their master's degree program.

Do not meet the English requirements?

If you don't meet the minimum English language requirement for GSSP or for direct entry, you can enroll in a preparation course at FAU to improve your language proficiency. The University Preparation English Program will assist you in improving your English language proficiency prior to starting in the FAU GSSP.

Intensive English Program

Coursework will include intensive practice of the basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition to assigned readings and exercises, oral presentation and writing projects will be used to enhance the learning. Computer lab time is scheduled, and students are offered basic instruction in creating presentations and research.

Academic Requirements

Entry to Undergraduate GSSP: Engineering and Computer Science stream requires an average of 65% (or equivalent) in math.

This table is a guide only. Meeting the minimum application entry requirements does not guarantee admission. Your complete application will be reviewed to determine if you qualify. Final assessment is based on full GPA evaluation; an equivalent of the minimum entry U.S. GPA and proof of high school completion equivalent in the U.S. are required. Students are required to submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended beyond high school whether seeking to transfer credit or not. This information is correct at the time of printing and is subject to change without notice. Navitas reserves the right to request additional documentation, if necessary.
